pink-donuts Bad food is the world’s biggest cause of death.

Millions of people die each year, because of the bad foods that they are eating.

Fifteen out of 20 top death risk factors worldwide are directly or indirectly related to nutrition and physical activity. Heart diseases, strokes, diabetes, cancers, overweight and obesity are strongly diet-related.

If you care about your and your family’s future, avoid unhealthy foods in your diet. They make you feel crappy, lead to weight gain and cause many different health problems.

Here are Top 7 Unhealthy Foods to Avoid at All Cost

Every time you consume unhealthy foods you cause an internal damage to your body. You may see no immediate negative effect though. Maybe except tiredeness, bloating and other symptoms. But as times passes it can lead to an axelerated aging, development of different diseases and deterioration of the immune system. All that negatively impact your well-being and thus your life quality.

Just because you are not sick, doesn’t mean you are healthy.

1. Highly processed food

It’s the main reason why people all over the world are getting fat and sick.

Chemically processed food are usually low in nutrients and high in unhealthy and unnatural chemicals while stocked in calories.

Processed food often contain preservatives, colorants, flavoring, texturants and other nasty stuff. It’s extremely unhealthy. And bad for your waistline as well.

It includes basically everything that is made in the factories. For an example fish sticks, candie bars, pasta, ready to eat meals, cakes, cookies, chips, sugary breakfast cereals, ice cream, margarine and the list goes on and on…

2. Trans Fats

Trans fats do not deserve to be even in your lawn mover.

These artificially created fatty acids, also known as “partially hydrogenated” vegetable oil, are chemically modified fats that are extremely harmful for health. These synthetic fatty acids get incorporated into cell membranes and damage molecules (like DNA) in the body.

Do you know the saying “You are what you eat?”

Trans fats raise LDL “bad” cholesterol, lower HDL “good” cholesterol and make you more likely to get heart disease. Using trans fats in the manufacturing of food help them to stay fresh longer, have a longer shelf life and less greasy feel. They are found in many processed food.

But it’s not enough to avoid cookies, chips, donuts and processed baked goods. You also need to avoid vegetable oil such as soybean and canola oil as it often is loaded with trans fats.

3. Refined Oils

Refined oils are unhealthy because their natural structure of the fats is damaged. Antioxidants are destroyed and free radicals are created. In particular for seed and vegetable oils such as soybean and corn oil.

Be aware of that most oils on shelves at your local supermarket probably are refined. Unless it says “extra virgin” or “cold pressed” on the label.

4. Added Sugar

Added sugar is everywhere these days. Sugar is addictive, highly fattening and it’s the leading cause of diseases like obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

Sugar has no essential nutrients, but a large amount of energy. Excess sugar consumption can lead to insulin resistance, high triglycerides and increased levels of the harmful cholesterol. Also it can increase fat accumulation in the liver and abdominal cavity.

Here’s a list of what sugar can be listed as on a food label. Sugar, brown sugar, cane sugar, corn syrup, corn sweetener, dextrose, fructose, fruit juice concentrates, glucose, agave nectar, high-fructose corn syrup, invert sugar, lactose, maltose, molasses, sucrose and other.

5. Refined Grains

Refined grains in contrast to whole grains have been significantly modified from their natural state. There can be a dozen of different chemicals that are added to refined grains and bread products. Bleaching chemicals, artificial colorings and flavorings are used as well.

Refined grains are missing fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They are quickly digested into the simple sugars and absorbed into your bloodstream. As a result spiking and crashing your blood sugar level. Similarly to sugar leaving you moody and tired.

Refined grains include white rice and all food made with white flour like bread, regular pasta, noodles, spaghetti, pitas and many other foods.

6. Artificial Sweeteners

Artificial sweeteners have not been proven safe and are potentially harmful.

Artificial sweeteners like Acesulfame potassium, Aspartame, Cyclamate, Saccharin, Sucralose (Splenda) and other can cause harmful side effects. Such as mood swings, headaches, fatigue and dizziness. Some studies have established that artificial sweeteners can lead even to a cancer.

It’s not worth the risk. If you need to sweeten your meals or drinks, use stevia which is a non-caloric natural herb about 300 times more sweeter than sugar that can help stabilize your blood sugar.

7. “Diet”, “Low-fat”, “Fat-Free” Food

It may seem counterintuitive, but these products usually are pretty unhealthy foods.

Most of the times they are highly processed and loaded with sugar or artificial sweeteners with all the harmful effects mentioned before.

Bottom Line…

Stay away from unhealthy foods as your life depends on it, because it does. Instead eat good diet foods that make you healthier, smarter and more electrifying.
